On 23 June the team from Perm returned from vacations and started preparation for the new season. Coaches, players and staff of the red-and-black team were at Zvezda Stadium already right after 8 a.m. After a light breakfast and exchange of impressions from vacations, the team hurried for the training session, which took place on the natural grass pitch. Amkar players, by the way, will be working on it 1 – 2 times a day till their departure for the training camp abroad, which is planned for next Monday. The morning training sessions will be mostly running, and at the evening training sessions the team will be dealing with tactics and techniques, as the website of the club informs.

 Almost all the players who played in the previous season came to the training camp. The exception was only the players on a loan, which returned to the clubs of their registration: Patrick Twumasi, Jamaldin Hojanyýazow, Dmitry Kayumov and Ivan Solovyev, as well as moved to Rubin Kazan Maxim Kanunnikov and Konstantin Vasilyev, who did not decide on his football future. Thomas Phibel and Janusz Gol were absent due to the family reasons and they are about to join their team mates in the nearest future. Martin Jakubko though he arrived to Perm, but tomorrow he is leaving for an operation on to be made regarding his long bothering injury. According to the expectations of the specialists the Slovak player will be able to start training only in the end of July.

But Petar Zanev is now again in the team at last. He got rid of all his medical problems in full. Beside him, Vladimir Kamesh, who returned from the loan in Neftekhimik Neftekamsk, and several newcomers, among which Alexander Subbotin is, who was registered for Amkar-Junior only last spring.

Morning training session was a kind of warming up, and the evening one was fully dedicated to fitness tests, the results of which will give to the coaches of Amkar the impression on the physical fitness of the players. So far Slavoljub Muslin is working without any assistants – his “right hand” Sergey Gurenko will arrive to Perm in several days after finishing the PRO license coaching course.

 - What kind of team do you think you new team is? – we asked Slavoljub Muslin after morning session, when the new Head Coach of Amkar saw his players in fact  for the first time.

- The tests will show everything. But even if some of the players will be overweight, I think that within a week of training he will return to the norm.

 - Will there be any new players in the team?

- For now I would like to see with my own eyes the capabilities of those who we already have at our disposal. Several new players will be working with us at this training camp. If they show themselves, they will move further with the team.

- In Austria the team will be having two training camps divided by a short interval. Who will be the opponents of Amkar in the friendly matches?

- On 4 July we are planning to play against Admira Wacker, on 7 July – against Sigma and on 11 July – against Metallurg from Donetsk, of course if this club will still exist at this time. On 18,22 and 26 July we are going to have three more games and we are trying to determine the opponents right now.

- Did you have any additional difficulties related to the fact that the date of preparation start had not been fixed by you?

- No, there are no problems of this kind! Of course, I would start to get ready for the season a little bit earlier, but six training weeks are quite enough to bring the team to the kick-off of the Championship ready in full.

-  Are you following the events in Brazil?

- Absolutely! Yesterday, for example, I was nervous very much for the Russian team, which did not deserve losing speaking about the game. But this is football and I think that Russians will use for sure their last chance to qualify from the group and will win over Algeria. I also have a liking for Spain and France. In my opinion, French team is the best team of the current World Cup. Though their real power should be seen in the matches with stronger opponents. Chile, Mexico and Costa-Rica were a pleasant surprise. And Brazil and Argentina brought some disappointment.
