In the first leg match of UEFA Europa League Round of 16 Rostov hosted Manchester United. The game ended in a draw – 1:1.

The first half was not at the advantage of Rostov. First, Gatskan was cautioned with a yellow card, which means that he will have to miss the following game. Then Red Devils scored the opener, Mkhitaryan did it in the 35^th minute. After the halftime Rostov felt more confident and the goal came soon. Alexander Bukharov scored in the 53^rd minute. The stands cheered loudly to help the teams, but there were no more goals in this game.

The return leg match will be played on 16 March.
