On Wednesday, 18 October, within the frames of UEFA Champions League Group Stage MD 3 PFC CSKA hosted Basel and lost 0:2.

In spite of the fact that the whole first half had very tough competition, only Basel players managed to score. Incorrect pass of PFC CSKA immediately caused a goal to Igor Akinfeev.

The Army team showed more of attacking football during the second half, but it did not bring to a goal. The Swiss on the contrary managed to convert a moment in the 90^th minute of the game - 0:2.

The next match of UEFA Champions League Group Stage for PFC CSKA will be played away at St.Jakob-Park Stadium on 31 October.
