Non-commercial partnership Russian Football Premier League was founded on 27 August 2001 in Moscow. The decision to found it was an important step in the development of the Russian football. Leading clubs united to develop themselves professionally. Time only confirmed that this decision was correct.

On the day of our adult age we can proudly announce that today Russian Premier League is among top leading European leagues. Our national team and clubs show good performance at the world and European arenas.

We congratulate all those who created Premier League, helped it to grow and develop, contribute their souls and health into this sometimes very troublesome business, in particular, our presidents - Vitaly Mutko, Valery Filatov, Evgeny Giner, Yury Zavarzin, Mikhail Vorontsov, Sergey Pryadkin, directors and staff of the League and its clubs, veterans, players and coaches, representatives of football community. And of course, we are happy to congratulate all those who love football! A lot of interesting matches and new wins are waiting for us!
