Tambov sign Avangard Kursk goalkeeper Nikita Chagrov

Tambov have completed the signing of Nikita Chagrov from FNL side Avangard Kursk. The former Torpedo Moscow and Rostov youth player has been handed a 2.5-year contract with Sergey Pervushin's team.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper sat on the bench for Avangard as they lost the 2018 Russian Cup final to Tosno. This season he has played in just over half of his club's league matches, keeping three clean sheets in his 13 appearances.

Tambov have simultaneously let 23-year-old keeper Vladimir Sugrobov leave on loan to Armenian top-flight outfit Pyunik. He will be managed by former Dynamo Moscow and Zenit St. Petersburg keeper Roman Berezovskiy.

After joining Tambov last summer Sugrobov made his debut in the Russian Cup against Tom Tomsk, conceding four goals. Although he was named on the bench for every Russian Premier League match before the winter break, he never made it on the pitch.
