All the participants of the European competitions from Russia were determined after the Russian Cup final.

Zenit St. Petersburg and Lokomotiv Moscow will play in the group stage of the Champions League. FC Krasnodar will start from the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

CSKA Moscow will play in the group stage of the Europa League. FC Rostov earns the right to play in the third qualifying round of the Europa League. Dynamo took sixth place and thanks to Zenit's win in the Russian Cup final they will play in the second qualifying round.
