Dynamo claimed a crucial battling three points in Grozny against 10-man Akhmat thanks to a healthy 2-0 half-time lead. Daniil Fomin put Sandro Schwarz’s men firmly in the driving seat early on from the penalty spot, before 17-year-old winger Arsen Zakharyan doubled their advantage on his first start for the senior side.

Anton Shvets pulled one back with a well-taken finish from inside the penalty area, but the hosts were set back by a red card for Artem Timofeev less than 10 minutes later.

Akhmat stay 11th on 26 points, while Dynamo go sixth on 33 points.
