Monday 10 May, Otkritie Bank Arena

Goals: Spartak - Sobolev (pen 54), Larsson (89); Khimki - Glushenkov (27)

Man of the Match: Dmitry Tikhiy (Khimki)

Jordan Larsson scored his second late winner in consecutive games to put Spartak firmly in the driving seat for Champions League football after pouncing in the last minute. Aleksandr Sobolev slipped his strike partner through on goal, before the Swede’s delightful feint and clever finish completed the comeback.

On-loan forward Maksim Glushenkov scored a slightly fortunate opener against parent club Spartak Moscow - the second Red-White loanee to score against them for Khimki after Reziuan Mirzov also broke the deadlock in October’s 3-2 Spartak win - before being sent off with just under an hour still to play.

Sobolev then stepped up to draw the hosts level soon after half time from the spot, before delivering the telling assist with time running out.

Spartak reclaim second place on 56 points, while Khimki remain eighth on 44 points.
