The First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov and Sport Minister of the Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko visited Otrkytie Arena, as the official website of Spartak informed. Accompanied by Leonid Fedun the high-profile officials examined all key locations of the new Spartak stadium, which will be hosting matches of the FIFA World Cup 2018.

The visit started at the square in front of arena at Gladiator Statue, then the guests went to the tribunes, to the pitch, stopped at the monument to brothers Starostins, visited Press Center and dressing rooms, examined food court and restaurant areas, and even went up to the highest point of the stadium – 52,5 meter platform, where is a wonderful bird’s eye view on all the surroundings.

Igor Shuvalov shared his opinion:

— The stadium gives the best possible impressions! It is good to know that this magnificent sport facility built at the expense of the private investor without support of the state. This facility has a great perspective for development. We examined the building plan for the family part. I hope it will be the new face of modern Moscow, made according to the best existing standards. There is no doubt that this place by 2018 will be worshipped by the supporters and will be having absolutely new meaning for the whole city. A lot of work is waiting ahead, and it won’t be done by itself. But Leonid Fedun has already made a lot of projects and I hope that this one will also be one of them.
