Supporters of the Red-Blues met Igor Akinfeev and PFC CSKA players

print version

Sergey Zenkin became a fan of PFC CSKA at the age of 5. Love to the Army team came to him from his grandfather – a passionate supporter of the Red-Blues. Sergey’s younger sister Nastya is also PFC CSKA fan, she does not only support the team, but also goes in for football. They often went to the matches of PFC CSKA. It was Sergey’s dream to get to the training session of his favourite team and to shake the hand of his idol – captain and goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev.

Three years ago, when it was time to go to the army, Sergey got serious illness – encephaloma. But the guy is desperately fighting against the terrible diagnosis. And he still had the same dream – to attend the training session of the Army team and to meet Igor Akinfeev.

Today this dream came true. Though Sergey was a little bit nervous, that this meeting could be delayed. “I saw that moment in the game against Montenegro, - Sergey said to Igor when they met, - And I was terribly afraid for you. I also thought that this injury will not allow us to meet”.

The injury did not prevent their meeting. Igor arrived today to Oktyabr stadium, where the team had their training session, as he had promised, in order to meet Sergey. Besides, Sergey Zenkin, as well as his mother and sister Nastya, also spoke to Leonid Slutskiy, Sergey Ignashevich, Alexey Berezutskiy, Zoran Tosic and other PFC CSKA players. Then they all moved to the training pitch, where Igor explained to Sergey Zenkin which training exercises players are using the following day after friendly match (by the way, Igor Akinfeev told that he was planning to come to the training base and join training sessions the following day).

And though the weather was not very nice today, the spirit of Sergey Zenkin and his relatives was very high. Sergey had shining happy eyes, as well as Igor. And what can be more important than that!
