The new agreement with the blue-white-sky blues and the legendary striker is for one season, as the website of the club informs.

Kerzhakov made his debut for Zenit in 2001 against Rotor Volgograd and in June of the same year, scored his first goal against Spartak Moscow. 

Five years later the forward moved to Spanish side Seville and in later returned to Zenit, via Dynamo Moscow.  

 Alexander has scored 161 goals in 368 matches for the blue-white-sky blues and is the club's all-time record goalscorer.
