Zenit St. Petersburg have confirmed the transfer of Dejan Lovren from Liverpool.

The 31-year-old defender has signed a three-year contract with the club.

Lovren had played for Liverpool since 2014. He won the Premier League this season and the Champions League in 2018/19, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in 2019. Lovren took part in 133 Premier League matches for Liverpool and scored five times.

Previously the Croatian played for Dynamo Zagreb, Inter Zapresic, Olympique Lyonnais and Southmapton. Lovren was a runner-up at the 2018 World Cup with the Croatian national team.

Zenit St. Petersburg are the 2019/20 RPL champions and Russian Cup winners.
