The club terminated player's contract by mutual agreement.
Smolnikov came back to Krasnodar in August 2020 after his contract with Zenit was expired. 32-year-old participated in 23 RPL games and entered eight international matches: six in the Champions League and two in the Europa League Last 32.
The defender also played for the Bulls in the 2012/13 season before signing with Zenit.
