Krasnodar appoint Daniel Farke as head coach

print version

Krasnodar have appointed Daniel Farke as head coach on a two-and-a-half year contract. Edmund Riemer will become his assistant with Christopher John and Chris Domogalla also joining the coaching staff.

After a career in the lower divisions of Germany with Lippstadt 08, Wilhelmshaven, Bonner and Meppen, Farke started his coaching career in 2009 at Lippstadt 08. Under his leadership, Lippstadt moved from the sixth division to the fourth, making the German the most successful coach in the history of the club.

In 2015 Farke took over Borussia Dortmund II for two years, before joining then second-tier English side Norwich City. In four years, he twice led Norwich to the Premier League, and at the end of November 2018, he was recognized as the best coach of the month in the English Championship.
