Spartak Moscow released a statement on appointing Dejan Stankovic as new head coach.
45-year-old coach will start the job in the next season, he will sign two-year contract with the Red-Whites. Interim manager Vladimir Sliskovic will remain in the coaching staff, Stankovic will move to Spartak with four assistants; they are assistant coach Nenad Sakic, goaltender coach Pierluigi Brivio, fitness coach Federico Pannoncini, analyst Vincenzo Sasso.
At pro level Stankovic played for Crvena Zvezda, Lazio and Internazionale Milano, with national team (Yugoslavia, Serbia & Montenegro, Serbia) made 103 official apperances. After starting coaching career Dejan worked as head coach with Crvena Zvezda, Sampdoria and Ferencvarosi. He led Crvena Zvezda to three Superliga titles and won Hungarian top division with Ferencvarosi this season.
Spartak go fifth in RPL standings with two matches remaining in the season. Team, coached by Vladimir Sliskovic, will host Rubin on 19 May and will visit Orenburg on 25 May.
