MD17 matches finished the programme of the SOGAZ-Russian Football Championship season 2014-2015 autumn part. The current championship is quite interesting. Zenit took the lead, a big and very tense group of teams is following it.

Nothing is clear with outsiders so far. At the end of the first part of the Championship Arsenal Tula managed to get ahead of Rostov and to leave the last position of the tournament table. A very intensive competition will start as from March in this part of the tournament table.

So far we shall try to make some provisional summary, underlining several important facts.

135 matches in total played in the tournament (the match Amkar-Dynamo moved to spring), 340 goals were scored in them (on average 2,52 per match).

In total 1 435 447 supporters attended the matches  (on average – 10  633). This figures could be different, if Zenit had not had two matches without spectators, and if the clubs had not been sanctioned by fan-sectors suspension.

The most popular score after 17 Matchdays is – 0:1. Such result was in 21 matches. The second most popular result is 1:1 – 16 games. It is interesting that four times matches ended 4:0 and 5:0, two times – 6:0, 4:2 and 3:3. And the biggest number of goals was scored in the match Dynamo-Rostov – 7:3. Only one goal less was scored in the match Zenit-Torpedo – 8:1.

The biggest number of goals was scored on MD1  - 34 goals (on average 4,25 goals per match). The least goals were scored on MD13 and MD16 – 12 goals (1,50 goals per match).

According to the results of 17 Matchdays, home teams scored 200 times and conceded 140 goals.

During autumn part of the SOGAZ-Russian Football Championship 2014-2015 five clubs changed their head coaches – Lokomotiv, Kuban, Torpedo, Amkar and Rostov.

Zenit set a new record of win run – 8 wins in a row, and 12 matches without defeats.

Terek Groznyi did not lose at its stadium for 14 matches in a row. The run started last season and was interrupted on 30 November.

Zenit now is leading in the number of wins with the cricket score in the current season. The team of Andre Villas-Boas had five such wins. Zenit also scored the biggest number of goals – 41 goal (on average 2,41 goals per match).

Zenit is also leading in the number of clean sheet matches in the current season. For now the club has 11 clean sheet games.

PFC CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev beat his own record on the number of clean sheet matches in the Russian Championship. Now he has 131 matches. Previous record had been set by PFC CSKA senior coach Sergey Ovchinnikov, who had 129 clean sheet matches.
