Referring to the fact that the Russian Football Premier League was not able to make agreement with Arena Khimki representatives on the commercial matters related to the Super Cup of Russia match organization, the decision was taken to move the opening game of the season 2015/2016 to Petrovskiy stadium in St.Petersburg. It allowed to attract additional sponsors and partners, as well as to provide high attendance at this match.

Heads of the Premier League clubs, including ones of FC Lokomotiv, unanimously supported this decision.
