National Team of Russia Leonid Slutskiy Press-conference after the match against Croatia:

– The main task was to observe the players who had had little playing practice. We were aimed at positive result. While we had enough strength, we managed to do a lot. But then fatigue came, and gaps between the lines started to happen. As a result, it appeared that the team did not play together much, besides our opponents had a outstanding individual skills. Unfotunately, we had a chance to try our main squad only in one training session. However it was very important for us to get the information, and this aim was directly combined with the result. Of course we had chased two rabbits, but caught only  the bigger one. The information we got is much more important. Besides, it is clear that it is very difficult to beat Croatia even with the main squad.
