Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev had a meeting with representatives of regional media in which they dealt with FC Kuban issues.

"Ice-hockey club Sochi receives about 1,4 billion rubles. Football club Kuban needs more finances – about 1,5 billion rubles. – Governor’s press-service published his words. – We cannot give more from our budget, and it is necessary to look for investors. The matter of Kuban financing is almost agreed upon. The club is planned to receive certain funds from an investor as of February-March 2016 as a system”.

"Kuban should exist and nobody has right to take decision about deleting this club, - as the Governor said. – Because this is responsibility before the past, present and future of our region. It is created with Kuban history itself".

Kondratyev also clarified that he is not planning to become the club President. "In order to become the President, you should give priority to football, and it won’t be correct with relation to other kinds of sport" – the Governor explained his viewpoint.
