Russian Football Premier League would like to congratulate football club Lokomotiv, all team supporters, staff of the club, as well as Lokomotiv society and all railway personnel on 80-anniversasry of the club.

On 12 January 1936 the Statutes of Lokomotiv Sport Society was approved. This day started foundation of railway teams in all kinds of sports under the common name.

History of Lokomotiv cannot be separated from the history of glorious wins of the Russian football. Twice Champion of Russia, six-times Cup of the USSR and Cup of Russia winner, Commonwealth Cup winner, Super Cup of Russia winner, Lokomotiv deserves to occupy its solid position among the top football clubs of our country. Many legendary players defended this team colours: Boris Beschev, Evgeny Lyadin, Ivan Paristy, Nikolay Konarev, Victor Voroshilov, Yury Semin, Victor Sokolov, Valentin Bubukin, Valentin Granatkin, Gennady Zabelin, Vitaly Artemyev and many others, which became a good example for young generation of railwaymen.

The club pays a lot of attention to young players. Every year Lokoball tournament, which is on the international level now, gives a chance to many boys and girls to make their dreams come true.
