On Thursday, 1 September at the municipal stadium in Toftir the UEFA European U21 Championship-2017 qualifying match between Faroe Islands and Russia took place. Our team claimed a confident win and still have chances to qualify to the final stage of the continental competition, at least until the result of the match Finland vs. Austria is known, as the  FUR website informs.

Russia will have their next qualifying match versus Austria; the game will took place on 6 September at the Arena Khimki stadium in Khimki, Moscow region.
