On Thursday, 20 October, Krasnodar hosted Schalke-04 at the new arena within the frames of UEFA Europa League Group Stage MD 3. The game ended in favour of the German club – 1:0.

A goal to Kritsyuk was scored in the 11^th minute: the visiting team had a set play and after receiving the ball from his partner Konoplyanka made an exact shot. After the halftime Krasnodar put more efforts in the attacks, but was not able to even the score.

On the results of this game Krasnodar occupies the second position in its group. The return leg match will be played on 3 November in Germany.
