print version

ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Football Championship MD 19 matches will be held in the period between 10 and 13 March.

Arsenal – Ufa
10.03.2017 19:00, Arsenal, Tula

Referee: Sergey Lapochkin (St.Petersburg)
Suspended: none – none
The matchday will be kicked-off on Friday with the match in Tula, where the local Arsenal will be hosting Ural from Ekaterinburg. The teams have different atmosphere before this game. The club from Tula lost to Orenburg with a cricket score, and the team from Ekaterinburg won the Urals derby against Amkar. Now the team of Sergey Kiryakov will have to prove their best in front of their supporters, for which it will be the first home match this year.

Ufa – Krylia Sovetov
11.03.2017 11:30, Neftyanik, Ufa

Referee: Vladimir Seldyakov (Balashikha)
Suspended: Sysoev – none
The Saturday matches will start with the game in Ufa. Krylia Sovetov which lost to Lokomotiv in the previous MD is going to play at Neftyanik stadium again, but now as the visiting team and not the home one. The team of Sergey Semak showed good performance and effective game in Grozny. No doubt, the club from Ufa will do their best on their own pitch, so Krylia Sovetov will have to make enough efforts in order to get revenge for defeat in the first round.

PFC CSKA – Tom
11.03.2017 14:00, Arena CSKA, Moscow

Referee: Kirill Levnikov (St.Petersburg)
Suspended: Wernbloom – none
Tom is going to play against PFC CSKA in Moscow. Though the Army team lost one of their key players Pontus Wernbloon, the difference to the level of their squads in comparison to Tom is really essential. And if for the club from Moscow any result, except win, will be considered as failure, the fans of the club from Tom, which has a lot of young players, are looking forward to see decent performance of their club.

Rubin – Orenburg
11.03.2017 16:30, Centralny, Kazan

Referee: Alexey Matyunin (Мoscow)
Suspended: none – none
Rubin will be playing against Orenburg in Kazan. Both teams are in good shape and spirit after recent wins in the previous MD. In case of success in this match the club from Kazan can get close to European Cups zone, and Orenburg – to move away from the dangerous zone of promotion\relegation matches. A very interesting match is waiting for us. The first round match between these teams ended in a draw 1:1. Rubin managed to avoid defeat only due to the goal by Mxim Kanunnikov during extra time.

Amkar - Zenit
12.03.2017 11:30, Zvezda, Perm

Referee: Evgeny Turbin (Мoscow)
Suspended: Zaytsev – none
The first Sunday match will be played in Perm. It is interesting, but both Amkar and Zenit are coached by the oldest coaches of the Russian Football Premier League: Gadzhi Gadzhiev and Mircea Lucescu – they both were born in 1945 and have fantastic coaching experience. It makes the combat of their teams more thrilling. Zenit is very strong both home and away, and the team from Perm is famous for its reasonable balance between solid defense and strategic attack. One more interesting fact about the match: young and very promising forward Alexey Gasilin who has recently moved to Amkar from Zenit, will probably be fielded in this game. So he has a lot to prove to his ex-club. Let’s hope that the weather won’t bring unpleasant surprises, and players will be able to show their best skills.

Spartak – Anji
12.03.2017 16:30, Otkrytie Arena, Moscow

Referee: Alexander Egorov (Saransk)
Suspended: none - Ezatolahi
Spartak will host Anji in Moscow. The team of Massimo Carrera already lost once to the team of Alexander Grigoryan, this fact adds some intrigue to this game. Grigoryan was the coach of SKA-Khabarovsk. But it was the Cup tournament, and in the Russian Championship Spartak is the leader now so a lot is expected from it. The club from Moscow is going to have many thousands of supporters and will be aimed solely to win, and it is very important for Anji to prove its positions in the middle of the tournament table. It is worth mentioning that defender Georgy Tigiev moved from Makhachkala to Moscow during off-season time. He played in the first round match, which ended with win of Spartak 2:0.

Rostov – Terek
12.03.2017 19:00

Referee: Alexey Eskov (Moscow)
Suspended: none – none
Rostov and Terek are going to play in Rostov-on-Don. The club from Rostov showed powerful game in the previous MD, they beat Tom 6:0, but we should not forget that the team plays in two tournaments and players and staff thinks also about the UEL match against Manchester United. After a very unpleasant defeat from Ufa, Terek will do its best not to lose its solid position, which gives hope to get to European Cups zone at the end of the season.

Lokomotiv – Krasnodar
13.03.2017 19:30, Lokomotiv, Moscow

Referee: Vitaly Meshkov (Dmitrov)
Suspended: none – none
On Monday Lokomotiv will be hosting Krasnodar in Moscow. The club from Moscow had a confident win over Krylia Sovetov in MD 18, and even though Krasnodar played in a draw against Spartak, the game in total was for Krasnodar. Same as Rostov Krasnodar is also having a very important UEL match, which will for sure affect the game against Lokomotiv. The team from Moscow will be able to reach its opponent in points in case of win, and the club from Krasnodar will try to revenge for the home defeat in the first round 1:2.
