In order to promote Fair Play ideas and principles based on respect to opponents, referees, match officials and supporters, Russian Football Premier League jointly with ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Football Championship General partner Betting Company Liga Stavok founded Liga FAIR PLAY Award. The Award is given every month to the team which showed the best Fair Play results.

The presentation of the award Liga FAIR PLAY took place on Friday, 25 August. It was presented by President of the Russian Football Premier League Sergey Pryadkin and BC Liga Stavok President Yury Krasovskiy.

"From the very first day of our cooperation RFPL and Liga Stavok worked to make Russian Football Championship competitve and intresting," - said Sergey Pryadkin. - "The match results should be defined in fair and sport competition. We had a successful work with Liga Stavok on the early warning system, this company became the first official betting company of the Premier League. We have concluded a new agreement this season and Liga Stavok became the general partner of the Russian Football Championship. On the initiative of our partner and with our full support we decided to found Liga FAIR PLAY Award. Both FIFA and UEFA pay a lot of attention to Fair Play. Respect towards the opponent, referees, match officials, supporters and media representatives is an integral part of our favourite game. I am happy that we will be able to define our Fair Play winner in the current season."

"Liga FAIR PLAY award became one more global project in our cooperation with RFPL, - said Yury Krasovskiy. - There is a tradition in the world football to award players for the most spectacular goal, for safe goalkeeping, for best scorer achievement. And we would like to emphasize that football is, first of all, a team game. And any success is the result of the whole team. In particular, this success can come from such characteristics as fairness, honesty, respect to opponents, referees and supporters."

The first club who received Liga FAIR PLAY Award for July 2017 was FC Krasnodar. The awarding ceremony will take place on 27 August before kick-off time of ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Football Championship MD 8 match Krasnodar - Dynamo.

The way of determining the winner:

The methods of Fair Play assessment were recommended by UEFA for professional football leagues, and Fair Play of the team is assessed by the Match Delegate and included into the special report.

The winner will be determined on a monthly basis on the ground of sic Fair Play criteria evaluation:

- yellow and red cards

- spectacularity of the match

- respect for opponents

- respect for the referees

- behaviour of team officials

- behaviour of spectators

At the end of the season the team which is on the top of the ranking, according to the results of 30 matchdays of the Russian Football Championship 2017-2018, will receive the final season Liga FAIR PLAY Award.
