The 2018/19 Russian top tier football league season will start with a new name and a new identity, specially created by Art. Lebedev Studio.
The new emblem of the Russian Premier Liga is a bear in the colours of the Russian national flag. Based on this emblem, several other similar designs have been created, intended to meet the needs of the various media organisations.
The studio has also developed an official league font to be used on the back of the player’s shirts and as graphics during television broadcasts.
The new identity of the league was presented to the media on 24 July in Moscow. Together with the rebranding, a new TV channel was also launched – Match Premier.
To find out more about the process of creating the new emblem, font and graphics, head over to the website of Art. Lebedev Studio.
The new Russian Premier League season will begin on 27 July when two Moscow sides, Lokomotiv and CSKA meet in Nizhny Novgorod in the Olymp Super Cup season opener.
The regular season starts on 28 July and the full fixture list is available on the new and updated league website.
