Two goals by Sorokin bring wrap-up win of this calendar year to Rubin

On Sunday, 9 December, Russian Premier League MD 17 match took place between Zenit and Rubin. The game ended with win of the club from Kazan 2:1.

Before RPL MD 17 match Zenit – Rubin kick-off an award ceremony of November RPL MVP took place. According to the results of supporters’ voting Sebastian Driussi was announced as RPL MVP of November. The honorary award was given to the Zenit forward by Andrey Arshavin.

Rubin was lucky to score a quick goal. Egor Sorokin managed to do it after a corner kick in the 7^th minute. By the 50^th minute Sorokin had scored twice, the second goal in this game was also scored with the head of Sorokin. Zenit scored in the 59^th minute. It was a kick from 11-meter mark converted by Leandro Paredes.

Zenit leaves for the winter break as the RPL tournament table leader. The team of Sergey Semak has got 34 points.
