On 21-29 January, MATCH PREMIER Cup tournament will take in Qatar. The tournament is jointly organized by Match TV channel and Russian Premier League. The participating teams are the leading RPL clubs.

Leader of the current Premier League season Zenit, current title holder Lokomotiv, Spartak-Moscow and Rostov are going to play for the main trophy. The prize fund of the tournament is USD 200 000. The winner will receive USD 80 000, the runners-up – USD 50 000, the third place – USD 40 000, the fourth place – USD 30 000.

The tournament will be played according to the round system, where a team plays once against all other teams. The winner will have to get the biggest number of goals. If two or more teams gained even number of points, the main criteria are the goal difference, the result in the match between the teams in questions. There are no draws in the tournament: in case of a draw during the full time, the winner will be determined by penalty shoot-outs.

MATCH PREMIER Cup matches will be held in Doha at Aspire Academy Sport Complex (opened in 2004). The tournament will be broadcasted on Match TV, Match PREMIER channels. A lot of details can be found at RPL and Match TV websites, as well as in social media.

Two referees’ teams are going to work at the tournament. Referees are Vitaly Meshkov and Sergey Lapochkin. Assistant Referees are Maxim Gavrilin, Aram Petrosyan, Anton Averyanov and Alexander Kudryavtsev.
