Rubin Kazan posted their most comprehensive scoreline so far this winter by beating FK Vojvodina 3-0. Oleg Danchenko, Darko Jevtic and an own goal accounted for Leonid Slutskiy’s most comprehensive win yet.

Carl Starfelt struggled to cope with the physicality of Vojvodina’s strikers at times but two early chances for the Serbians went begging. It was Oleg Danchenko who opened the scoring though after being allowed to drift inside and squeeze a shot under the keeper on the stroke of half time.

Just before the hour mark, Darko Jevtic kept a cool head to plant a left-footed finish across the six-yard box into the far bottom corner. The scoreline was completed when Vojvodina’s defence failed to clear an inswinging corner and deflected it in two minutes from time.

New signings Oliver Abildgaard and Ivan Ignatyev both got minutes under their belts. The former only joined his new teammates a few days ago, while the latter has recently recovered from illness.

Rubin will close their second training camp on Sunday 9 February against Spartaks Jurmala of Latvia.
