print version

We have rounded up the most interesting facts about the midfielder's performances in the RPL.

Aleksey Miranchuk played 178 games, or 13,894 minutes, in the RPL for Lokomotiv Moscow. The midfielder came off the bench 25 times, and was replaced 49 times during games. During this time, he managed to score 32 goals and give 30 assists.

Aleksey was 17 years, six months and three days old at the time of his debut in the RPL. On 20 April 2013, he played his first game for Lokomotiv’s senior team against Kuban Krasnodar, which ended in a goalless draw. The midfielder spent 86 minutes on the field, after which he was replaced by Maksim Grigoryev.

Miranchuk scored 12 goals in the 2019/20 season, which is the best tally in his career. In the same season, Aleksey was directly involved in 17 goals (scored and assisted). His previous goalscoring record came in the 2017/18 championship season, when he scored seven times.

Aleksey played 13 games against CSKA in the RPL. Against the Armymen, he scored two goals and provided one assist. Miranchuk did not meet with any team more often than CSKA. In these games, Lokomotiv won four times, drew three times and lost seven.

He scored seven penalties during his entire time in the RPL, and all came in the most productive season for him in 2019/20. Incidentally, the midfielder scored both doubles in his career with the help of spot kicks. In the match against Rubin he converted one penalty, and less than a month later in the game against CSKA he converted two. Miranchuk failed to beat goalkeepers twice from the penalty spot; in 2018 against Dynamo Moscow, and in 2020 against FC Sochi.

The midfielder won five club trophies with the Railwaymen - the 2017/18 Russian championship, three Russian cups (2014/15, 2016/17, 2018/19), and one Super Cup in 2019. Aleksey scored twice in Cup finals: first against Kuban in 2014/15, and two years later against Ural Ekaterinburg. In the 2019 Super Cup, he scored a double against Zenit St. Petersburg.

It took him three games to score his first goal in the RPL. On 5 May 2013, in the matchday 27 fixture of the 2012-13 season against Amkar Perm, he equalised in the 45th minute to make it 1-1, and later assisted Renat Yanbaev. Lokomotiv eventually won the match 4-2.

Miranchuk scored twice in an RPL game for the first time on 27 June 2020 against Rubin Kazan. First he opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, and six minutes later converted a penalty. After that match, he temporarily became the top scorer of the Ak Bars Arena, having scored more than any of the home team’s players. The first goal in the history of the Kazan Arena at that time was recorded by the Railwayman.
