The current Rotor in 2004: Ponce started playing football, Khatskevich was playing in China

On RPL matchday 12, Rotor achieved their first victory after returning to the League, beating Lokomotiv 2-1 in Moscow. More than 16 years had passed since their previous league win: on 25 September 2004, Rotor beat Rostov 3-2 at Centralny Stadium, and a week earlier achieved an 1-0 away victory over the Railwaymen themselves thanks to a goal by Spartak Gogniev in added time.

We tell you what this Rotor team that played at the RZD Arena on 24 October was doing during that season.

Josip Condric (11)

Playing at Rudes Zagreb, which at that time was a club from the Centre Zone of the third Croatian League.

Azat Bayriev (15)

On the books at Kuban Krasnodar, who spent their debut season in the RPL and were eventually relegated to the first division alongside Rotor.

Solomon Kverkvelia (12)

Part of the Gloria sports school in his native town of Samtredia, and a year later moved to Tbilisi, where he studied at the Dynamo academy and the Tengiz Sulakvelidze Academy.

Oleg Kozhemyakin (9)

Studying at the Krivbass Academy from Krivoy Rog. In 2005, he went to Moscow and joined the Smena Academy.

Danil Stepanov (4)

Lived in Kazan from birth. At five, he went to the Tasma Academy, and two years later made the grade at Rubin.

Cedric Gogoua (10)

Playing for Sabe Sport in the Ivorian city of Buna.

Sergey Makarov (8)

Part of the Kolovrat sports section in his native village of Nekrasovka in Khabarovsk region.

Ilya Zhigulev (8)

Living in Krasnodar region. In the summer of 2008, he took his first steps in the Krasnodar Academy.

Zuriko Davitashvili (3)

Living in Tbilisi, where he soon started playing football at the Dynamo academy.

Kamil Mullin (10)

Training at the Smena Academy in Moscow.

Flamarion (8)

Living in Brazil at eight years old, and started his football career at Palmeiras.

Andres Ponce (8)

Started playing football at the Venezuelan club El Tablaso and stayed there until the age of 12, when he moved to Atletico Maracaibo.

Evgeny Pesegov (15)

Playing at the Konoplev Academy. Two years later he made his professional debut with Krylia Sovetov-SOK, who then played in the second division.

Beka Mikeltadze (7)

Living in Georgia, where he would train at Zugdidi and Zestafoni clubs as a youth product.

Alexander Khatskevich (31)

In September, as a player, he moved from Dynamo Kyiv to China, where he played on loan for Tianjin Teda and scored one goal in 10 Super League games. The following year, he left for Venta in Latvia, and then returned to Dinamo Minsk.
