Three Feyenoord goals in eight minutes leave CSKA with defeat in Rotterdam

CSKA suffered the first Europa League loss by former Zenit St. Petersburg and Russian national team coach Dick Advocaat and his side Feyenoord. After the 30 minutes of the first half Mario Fernandes asked for the substitution because of a problem with left thigh, and he was replaced by Alan Dzagoev. Alongside Igor Akinfeev the midfielder played for CSKA against Feyenoord in the 2008/09 UEFA Cup group stage, when the Armymen got 3-1 victory in Rotterdam.

Both teams left goalless at the half-time, and after the break Advocaat's side struck first, when Steven Berghuis made a pass along the net, and Ridgeciano Haps finished with one touch. It took eight minutes for the hosters to double the lead from Orkun Kokcu strike outside the box, and just a minute later Lutsharel Geertruida made the score 3-0. The only CSKA goal came from Marcos Senesi own goal after Fedor Chalov cross.

In the other Group K fixture, Dinamo Zagreb beat Wolfsberg in Croatia 1-0.

CSKA bottom the group with two points, while Feyenoord are third on four points.
