We have rounded up the best highlights and statistics from Russian Premier Liga matchday 14.

One RPL goal each was scored by defenders Danil Stepanov and Roman Evgenyev. In two years in the top flight, Stepanov played 19 games for Rubin before moving on loan to Rotor. In his 10th match for the Volgograd team, he equalised to make it 1-1 against Arsenal on matchday 14. For Evgenyev, the match against Lokomotiv was his 45th in the RPL. Just three minutes after starting for Dynamo with the captain's armband he had put the Blue-Whites ahead, and in the 60th minute gave an assist to Daniil Lesovoy.

Akhmat midfielder Artem Timofeev scored his third goal of the season against Tambov, thus beating his personal record. His previous mark was set in the 2016/17 season, when he scored two goals in 13 games for Spartak-2 in the FNL, both strikes coming in one game against Khimki.

Denis Glushakov has now scored against Rubin with four different RPL teams. He scored the first goal against them for Lokomotiv in November 2008, then scored twice for Spartak and once each for Akhmat and Khimki. Incidentally, his side has never lost when he's scored against Rubin.

Former Spartak youth product Pavel Pogrebnyak scored the ninth goal of his career against the Red-Whites. He played 18 matches and scored two goals for the club, scoring his first goal against them in a 2-2 draw with Tom Tomsk in July 2006. He scored most often against Spartak as a Zenit player with five, and once more for Dynamo, Tosno and now for Ural.

For the 19th time, an opponent failed to score a penalty past Igor Akinfeev in Russian Championships. Having kept out Roman Eremenko's effort on matchday 14, Akinfeev overtook Roman Berezovsky and became the sole leader in this field. From 19 penalties, the CSKA goalkeeper has saved 15. This is also a record that Akinfeev set in the match against Rostov.

Dynamo Moscow claimed their 200th RPL victory against Lokomotiv, becoming the sixth club to reach this mark. CSKA have the most RPL wins (325), followed by Zenit (313) and Spartak (275). Lokomotiv have 272 wins, including the championship-winning match in 2002, while Rubin have 214. In total, Dynamo have played 538 top-flight games, drawing 153 times and suffering 185 defeats.

For the first time in 540 days, Ze Luis scored in the RPL. The striker's goal against Dynamo was his first for Lokomotiv. From 2015 to 2019, he played for Spartak Moscow, for whom he had scored his previous RPL goal on 18 May 2019 on matchday 29 against Krylia Sovetov. At the end of the 2018-19 season, he left to play for Porto, and in October 2020, he returned to Russia, but this time to Lokomotiv.

578 days have passed since Sergey Terekhov's last RPL goal. Against Ufa, Terekhov scored for Sochi for the first time, with his previous goal coming for Orenburg in a 3-1 win over Akhmat on 8 April 2019.

Zenit have now picked up 600 points at home in the RPL, and now lead the way in this regard. To do this, they needed 284 matches in St. Petersburg. In second place is CSKA, who have scored 598 points in 285 games. On the last matchday, the army team also won at home, beating Rostov 2-0.
