Results of the RPL General Meeting

A General Meeting was held at the Russian Premier Liga’s office.

The clubs rounded up the results of the first 19 matchdays of the 2020/21 Russian Premier Liga season.

At the General Meeting the clubs:

1) supported the candidacy of Aleksandr Dyukov for the post of the Russian Football Union President (RFU).

2) nominated FC Krasnodar president Sergey Galitsky, Dynamo Moscow Board of Directors Chairman Yury Solovev and Rubin Kazan General Director Rustem Simanov for the Executive Committee of the RFU.

3) elected RPL Executive Director Sergey Cheban as a delegate of the Association of Football Clubs (AFC) “RPL” to the RFU Conference.

4) approved the budget of AFC “RPL” for 2020-2021.

5) heard the report of PwC representatives on the results of the analytical stage of strategy development. In the next phase, PwC and the RPL Authorized Committee will develop initiatives and a strategy roadmap that will be presented to the General Meeting in early 2021.

Also present at the meeting the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov appealed to the clubs to postpone RPL matchday 23 to another date in the interests of the national team. The clubs took note of Cherchesov's appeal, and the decision will be made after consultation with the head coaches of the RPL teams.
