On 27 January, four Russian Premier Liga teams played friendly matches at their training camps before resuming the 2020/21 season.
Zenit St. Petersburg 3-2 Ural Ekaterinburg
The game in Dubai was played in three halves of 40 minutes each. Malcom, Sardar Azmoun and Wendel scored for the St. Petersburg team, while Andrey Egorychev scored for Ural twice. With this match, Zenit completed their first training camp in the UAE, while the second one starts on 31 January. Ural will meet Ararat Armenia in the UAE on 30 January.
FC Krasnodar 1-0 FC Riga
In their first match of the day, Krasnodar beat the team from Latvia thanks to Eduard Spertsyan's goal from the penalty spot in the 38th minute. In the 23rd minute, Magomed-Shapi Suleymanov received a red card for the Southerners, but by agreement between the sides, the removed player was replaced by Maksim Kutovoy.
FC Krasnodar 3-0 Shakhtyor Soligorsk
Remy Cabella, Viktor Claesson and Leon Sabua scored for Krasnodar against the reigning champion of Belarus, and Suleymanov was sent off again – this time in the 78th minute. Murad Musaev’s team will hold their next friendly games at the training camp in Spain, which will begin on 31 January.
Lokomotiv Moscow 3-1 Ostersunds
The Railwaymen conceded against the Swedish team after three minutes, but recovered thanks to Eirik Haugan's own goal four minutes before half-time, and at the end of the second half snatched the victory thanks to goals scored by Murilo and Eder. Also, in the 57th minute Anton Kochenkov kept out Blair Turgott’s penalty.
