On 30 January, four teams played friendly matches at their training camps before the resumption of the 2020/21 season.

Spartak Moscow 2-1 Pakhtakor

The Red-Whites played their first match in 2021 at a training camp in the UAE. Domenico Tedesco men met Pakhtakor from Uzbekistan. Goals for the Muscovites were scored by Alex Kral and Roman Zobnin. On 6 February, Spartak will play against the Belarusian champions Shakhtyor Soligorsk.

Ural Ekaterinburg 2-0 Ararat Armenia

Yuri Matveev's side took on the second placed team in the Armenian Premier League. Eric Bicfalvi and Chingiz Magomadov scored for Ural, who will play Rubin on 15 February at the Turkish training camp.

Dynamo Moscow 4-2 Slovan Bratislava

Dynamo beat the Slovak First League leaders. In the first half, Vyacheslav Grulev and Danil Lipovoy scored for the Blue-Whites, and after the break there were further goals from Arsen Zakharyan and Konstantin Tyukavin. On 2 February, the Muscovites will play Montenegrin club Rudar.

Arsenal Tula 4-1 Sileks

The Gunners defeated their Macedonian opponents thanks to goals from Evans Kangwa, Taras Burlak, Valery Gromyko and Aleksandr Lomovitsky.
