On 4 February, five teams played friendly matches at their training camps before the resumption of the 2020/21 season.

Zenit St. Petersburg 4-0 FC Ararat-Armenia

In the first of two matches against Armenian teams, the RPL leaders defeated Ararat-Armenia who occupy second place in their national championship. In the first half, Aleksey Sutormin converted a penalty, while after the break Malcom scored a double, and another goal was added by Wendel.

Zenit 3-0 FC Noah

In the game against the Armenian championship's fifth-placed team, Dmitry Chistyakov, Stanislav Krapukhin and Mikhail Pogorelov scored for the Blue-White-Sky Blue. On 9 February, Zenit will take on the Jordan national team at their training camp in Dubai.

Dynamo Moscow 2-0 Kairat

The Blue-Whites beat the reigning champion of Kazakhstan thanks to goals from Sylvester Igboun, who scored from the penalty spot, and Roman Neustadter. On 5 February, the Muscovites will finish the second Turkish training camp with a game against Rubin Kazan.

FC Krasnodar 1-1 Lokomotiv Moscow

Krasnodar played two games in Marbella against RPL teams. Against Lokomotiv, Rustam Khalnazarov scored for the Southerners in the 11th minute, and Mikhail Ageev scored for the Muscovites in the 74th. The Railwaymen will play the next match of their Spanish training camp on 5 February against the Swedish side Ostersunds.

Krasnodar 2-0 FC Rostov

In the match against Rostov, Krasnodar won with a double by Magomed-Shapi Suleymanov, who scored in the 61st and 68th minutes. On 8 February, Rostov will play in Marbella against Lokomotiv Tbilisi, and Krasnodar will again meet the Railwaymen from Moscow on 11 February.
