On 12 February, Zenit and Tambov held friendly matches at their training camps before the resumption of the 2020/21 season.

Zenit St. Petersburg 4-0 Uzbekistan

Zenit finished their second training camp in Dubai with a big victory over the Uzbekistan national team. Andrey Mostovoy scored a double, with Stanislav Krapukhin and Daniil Shamkin weighing in with the other goals. The match was played behind closed doors. The RPL leaders have won all eight friendlies across two training camps, and Sergey Semak's team will continue to prepare for the spring part of the season in St. Petersburg.

FC Tambov 3-1 FC Strogino

Sergey Pervushin's team beat PFL side Strogino in Krymsk. Two Tambov goals were scored by trialists, while Artem Arkhipov, who returned to the club from Shakhtar Soligorsk, also scored.
