Kazan’s Centralny Stadium and Rostov Arena allowed to host RPL matches

On 2 September, the Russian Football Union and Russian Premier Liga commission for approving football pitches visited the stadiums in Kazan and Rostov-on-Don.

In Kazan, the members of the commission visited two venues - the Ak Bars Arena and the Centralny Stadium. Pitch renovation work is underway at the Ak Bars Arena. It is expected that the surface will be in full operation in four to five weeks.

At the Centralny, the commission positively assessed the quality of the surface and approved the pitch as suitable for holding RPL matches.

In Rostov-on-Don, the commission visited the Rostov Arena, where it noted the positive work to bring the pitch up to a suitable condition, and also did not find deformations or injury-prone areas. According to the regulations, on the basis of a positive conclusion of the commission, the stadium is again allowed to host RPL matches.

On 13 September, in their matchday seven fixtures, Rubin will host Ural at the Centralny, while Rostov will play Krasnodar at the Rostov Arena.
