On 9 September, a meeting of the Board of AFC Russian Premier Liga was held.

The participants listened to the report of the task force on the implementation of media rights and considered the proposal of the current main broadcaster, which used their pre-emptive right and applied for the acquisition of rights to cover RPL matches from the 2022/23 season to 2025/26.

By an overwhelming majority of votes, the members of the Management Board decided to offer out for tender the implementation of rights to comply with the principles of fair competition for the choice of broadcaster. The Management Board decided to hold the tender until 11 October.
