RPL players on international duty: Ejuke’s Nigeria beat CAR, Talbi and Barrios play 90 minutes each

On 10 October, three Russian Premier Liga players took part in 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Africa, 2nd round

Group B

Zambia 1-1 Equatorial Guinea

Arsenal Tula’s Evans Kangwa was left out of the Zambian matchday squad. After four games, Zambia have four points and are in third place.

Mauritania 0-0 Tunisia

Rubin defender Montassar Talbi played 90 minutes in the match against Mauritania. After four games, Tunisia lead the group with 10 points, while Mauritania are fourth with one point.

Group C

Central African Republic 0-2 Nigeria

CSKA striker Chidera Ejuke came off the bench for Nigeria in the 67th minute with the score already 2-0. After four games, Nigeria lead the group with nine points. On 13 October, Nigeria will meet Liberia.

South America

Colombia 0-0 Brazil

Zenit midfielder Wilmar Barrios played the full 90 minutes of the goalless draw with Brazil. After 11 games, the Colombians are in fifth place in the table with 15 points. They take on Ecuador on 15 October.

Chile 0-2 Paraguay

Dynamo defender Fabian Balbuena spent the entire match against Chile on the bench. Paraguay have 12 points in the table, and occupy sixth place. On 14 October, Paraguay will face Bolivia.
