The candidacy of the acting RPL President was approved at a meeting of the RFU Executive Committee on 27 October.

Ashot Rafailovich was accepted onto the board instead of Sergey Pryadkin, who on 5 October announced his resignation from the post of president of the Russian Premier Liga.
