Denis Kovba, the former Krylia Sovetov Samara midfielder, passed away on 18 November at the age of 42.

Kovba was a Krylia player from 2000 to 2009, and from 2010 to 2011. The Belarusian ranks second in the history of the Samara club in terms of the number of matches played in all tournaments (260). In Russian championships Kovba played 221 matches for Krylia and scored five goals, and in 2004 he finished third in the RPL.

The Russian Premier Liga expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Denis Kovba.

In memory of the former player, the RPL matchday 15 fixture on 20 November between Krylia sovetov and FC Ural will begin with a minute’s silence.
