On 22 November, the RPL General Meeting held the election of president of the League.

Ashot Khachaturyants, who has been acting president of the RPL since 5 October, was the only registered candidate. The participants of the General Meeting unanimously voted for the election of Ashot Rafailovich as the new president of the League for a period of five years.

Ashot Khachaturyants becomes the seventh leader in the history of the RPL after Vitaly Mutko (2001-2003), Valery Filatov (2003, acting), Evgeny Giner (2003-2004), Yuri Zavarzin (2004-2006), Mikhail Vorontsov (2006-2007) and Sergey Pryadkin (2007-2021).
