Luzhniki Stadium is announced as host arena of the 2021/22 Russian Cup Final, statement made by the Russian Football Union on 26 April.

The final match will take place on 29 May. The participants will be decided in the semi-finals Dynamo vs Alania and Spartak vs Enisey, which are scheduled on 10 and 11 May respectively.

Luzhniki Stadium was the host of the Russian Cup Final eight times, previously in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2006 and 2007. The arena had been reconstructed for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and seven matches of the final stage were played there including Russia national team matches against Saudi Arabia and Spain as well as France vs Croatia final.

After the World Cup the stadium hosted CSKA Moscow home fixtures in the Champions League campaign (2018/19) and national team matches Russia vs Scotland (UEFA EURO 2020 Qualifiers) and Russia vs Croatia (2022 World Cup European Qualifiers). The current Luzhniki capacity is 81000 spectators.
