Spartak, Rostov, Krasnodar & Sochi to play at RPL Winter Cup

The Russian Premier Liga alongside its general partner, Winline bet company, will organize a friendly tournament in the United Arabian Emirates.

Tournament, called Winline RPL Winter Cup, will take place in Abu Dhabi between 1 & 11 February. The participants are Spartak Moscow, FC Rostov, FC Krasnodar & FC Sochi. After the first part of RPL season Spartak go second in the standings, while Rostov are third, Krasnodar are eighth and Sochi are ninth.

Detailed information about Winter Cup schedule and broadcasts will be published later.

RPL president Aleksandr Alaev:
– We plan to make Winline RPL Winter Cup as regular competition during the off-season. I suppose, the group of participants and, perhaps, their geography will be increased every year. Planning new tournament, the league both helps teams to find opponents at training camps and gives positive emotions to fans. The new Cup will fill the winter break.

Winline marketing director Aleksandr Zapolskikh:
– Winline RPL Winter Cup is another joint project with league, which we plan to realize as part of our long-term partnership. We hope, this new tradition will be enjoyed by fans and will become a ground to test our initiatives, aimed to increase the audience interest to the flagman product of Russian football.
