On 9 February, Zenit was the only RPL team to play friendly match.

In Dubai, UAE, RPL leaders faced Urartu from Armenia and got 1-0 win. Aleksey Sutormin was the only scorer getting the goal from free kick in the second half (59th miniute). Zenit won in four of five winter friendlies; all wins were with clean sheet. Sergey Semak team could not get victory in match against Ural ended 1-1.

Urartu, coached by Russian Dmitry Gunko, earlier met in UAE Lokomotiv Moscow and also suffered 0-1 defeat.

On 10 February, Zenit will meet another Armenia club, Ararat-Armenia.
