CSKA have been keeping unbeaten form since 0-2 loss to Sochi in first post-winter matchday and win over Orenburg became the seventh in last eight matches. Igor Diveev opened the score with his head from Jesus Medina corner kick to get second goal this season. Unlucky part of first half was Ivan Oblyakov replacement due to back injury, as midfielder days before was named RPL Best Player of April with six goal involvements (4 goals & 2 assists).

Medina made assists’ brace in the end of second half helping Fedor Chalov, so striker tied his personal record on 15 goals, last time he scored the same number in 2018/19 season, when he was RPL top scorer. Stepan Oganesyan made impact again as a substitute breaking through the Armymen defense and stealing clean sheet from Igor Akinfeev moments before final whistle.

Until Spartak meeting with Zenit, CSKA move to second with 51 points, while Orenburg go seventh with 39 points.
