Two RPL competitors for relegation play-off matches were determined following Matchday 30 fixtures, where Fakel, Krylia Sovetov and Pari NN participated.

Krylia Sovetov beat Spartak 1-0 thanks to goal from Benjamin Garre in the second half. Pari NN came over Khimki, goals by Dmitry Stotsky and Kirill Gotsuk gave 2-0 win. Finally, Fakel suffered 0-1 defeat at Zenit, Aleksandr Erokhin scored the winner near the end of regular time.

In the final standings Krylia move Fakel from 12th on 32 points, Pari NN go 13th, while Voronezh finished 14th. Nizhny Novgorod and Voronezh teams are tied on 30 points, but Nizhny got advantage on goal difference in head-to-head meetings (3-2).

Pari NN and Fakel will go to relegation play-off matches against First League teams. Pari NN will face Rodina Moscow, finished fifth in lower division, and coached by Dmitry Parfenov, former manager for Tosno, Ural and Arsenal in RPL. Fakel will play against Enisey Krasnoyarsk, placed fourth in the league. First legs are planned to play on 6 June at First League teams home fields, while the second scheduled on 9 June at RPL teams stadiums.
