Aleksandr Sobolev and Mikhail Ignatov both made goal and assist to bring Spartak win in away derby at VTB Arena. Sobolev scored fourth goal in this Cup season, cutting to one the distance from top scorers Ivan Sergeev and Timur Suleymanov, while Ignatov got second goal.

Spartak and Dynamo played fifth derby in the current season. Previously the Red-Whites won twice in RPL fixtures (1-0, 2-1); in the Russian Cup RPL Path group stage teams exchanged home victories (4-1 by Spartak, 3-0 by Dynamo).

Spartak became first participants of Regions Path final; their opponent will be the winner of Rostov vs Baltika semfinal. The final match scheduled to play between 14 & 16 May.
