Zenit St. Petersburg forward Mateo Cassierra became the winner of 2023/24 RPL scorers race.

The Colombian played 28 matches and scored 21 goals. Cassierra has three games, where he got more than one goal, among them is five-goal match against Akhmat. Zenit striker has six more goals, than his main followers Jhon Cordoba and Konstantin Tyukavin.

It’s second consecutive season, when Zenit player became RPL top scorer, last year it was made by Malcom. Cassierra is also sixth Zenit representer with top scorer award, as he joined Aleksandr Kerzhakov (2004), Hulk (2014/15), Sardar Azmoun (2019/20), Artem Dzyuba (2019/20, 2020/21) and Malcom (2022/23).

Cassierra won RPL title with Zenit this season, it’s his second gold medal in the league.
